May The God of Heaven Remember All Your Offerings, by Pastor Anthonia Obafaiye

Deed is an action that is performed intentionally or consciously e.g. ‘doing good deeds’

Reward is a thing given in recognition of service, effort or achievement.

Honour is to have high respect, to hold in great esteem

Revelations 22:12 ‘And behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

My prayer for us is that God will find every of our deeds good and acceptable in Jesus name.

Hebrews 11: 6 says, ‘But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he/she that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him.

Brethren our 1st duty is to God Almighty, Our Creator, Our Saviour, Our Deliverer, Our Provider, Our Healer our everything, without Him, you and I are nothing and we can do absolutely nothing.

The Bible says in Matthew 22:37-38 ‘Jesus said unto Him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with thy soul and with all thy mind’.

Brethren our first Deed of Honour is to our God:

In the Book of Genesis 4:3-5 The Bible tells a very interesting and sad story of two Brothers Cain & Abel born of the same Father & Mother (Adam & Eve), so this tells us they came from the same background, it means they must have been taught the ways of Jehovah The God of heaven & earth. I want to believe they knew what God expected of them.

The Bible tells us from the book of Genesis 4:3-5 that in the process of time (when Cain & Abel had come of age) they brought an offering unto the Lord, Cain a tiller of the ground brought of the fruit of the ground, an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.

In other words Cain brought what he taught he had (even though that was not what God required of him). He must have thought to himself, He (God) has to accept it, after all that is what I have. The Bible says as a man thinketh in his heart so he is (Proverbs 23:7 Cain had a wrong attitude).

But his Brother Abel brought to God his very best (the first fruits of all that God had blessed him with and he also presented it with the whole of his heart and with gladness too) He gave God what He required of him.

If we remember vividly from the story of their parents (Adam & Eve) in Genesis 3 when they disobeyed God and fell short of His glory, God had to kill a sheep, (the Bible says in Hebrews 9:22 that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin) and then God used the skin of the animal to cover their nakedness. I believe their parents must have lectured them on this but Cain refused to learn, he came across as being very proud, pompous, hot headed, because when he saw that his Brothers offering had been accepted, his countenance fell and he became wrath(angry), so much so that God saw it and warned him, He asked him, why are you angry, if you did well, will I not have accepted you, you need to be very careful sin is at your door, don’t let it rule over you. God was offering him a second chance to amend his ways but because he was so full of himself he took the long rope of God’s mercy for granted, sin eventually became his Master when he allowed his anger & rage move him to take his own Brother’s life.

The Bible makes us to understand from Genesis 4:4b-5a that God had respect unto Abel and his offering, but unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect.

Brethren our God is a God that does not take Bribe (Deuteronomy 10:17 ‘For the Lord our God is the God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes, the New International version)

Brethren before we can come to Him to offer anything, we must first offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, He needs to know us and call us His own.

You cannot rob God of His tithe and say to yourself, He will understand, I will give Him a wholesome offering, that will make up.

Brethren it does not work that way, we need to seek and serve Him diligently by obeying Him totally not partially.

The Bible again brings to our attention the story of a great woman, who lived in a city called Shunem in the Book of 2Kings 4:8-36 we will not be reading for time.

Some people called her The Shunammite woman, the Bible said she watched Prophet Elisha from afar, coming and going as he went about God’s business and she perceived in her spirit that this man was a holy man of God and she pleaded with her husband, Please My husband let us set for this man of God, a bed, a table, a stool and a candlestick, so that anytime he comes to town for God’s business, he will have a comfortable place to stay and her husband agreed with her.

And the Bible says and it fell on a day, a day of remembrance, some people might call it pay day.

For someone here today under the sound of my voice, I declare to you today that your day of remembrance has come, God Almighty will remember you for good today in the name of Jesus.

So because this woman allowed the ark of God to rest in her house, a challenge the she had long forgotten, a challenge that she felt had no solution was re-visited and God Almighty remembered her for good and it did not stop there, later on when the devil reared his ugly head in an attempt to steal, to kill and to destroy, God Almighty yet again remembered her good deed of honour by delivering her son from the clutches of death.

The Bible says in Proverbs 10:22 ‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich and added no sorrow to it.

Matthew 10:41 says ‘He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophets reward.

In the Book of Acts 9: 36:41

The Bible introduced us to a woman called Tabitha (which by interpretation was called Dorcas) she was a woman who was full of good works and alms deeds which she did.

The Bible makes us to understand that her good works and alms deeds was not done in vain, because on the day her good works were to speak for her, it did not keep silent, her good works moved God to raise her back to life.

Galatians 6:10 says ‘As we therefore have opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto those who are of the household of faith’.

Galatians 6:7-9 ‘Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked, a man reaps whatever he sows.

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction, whoever sows to please the Spirt, from the Spirit will reap eternal life’. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up’.

Brethren God cannot be mocked indeed, as long as the earth remaineth seed time and harvest time will not cease, life is about sowing and reaping, the harvest we reap is dependent on what we sow. If we sow good seeds, we will definitely reap a good harvest.

Most times the seeds we sow, we might not be the ones to reap, but our children and generation unborn will be the ones to reap of the harvest we have sowed.

Gehazi in the Book of 2 Kings 5 sowed greediness and selfishness and he reaped leprosy for himself and his generation (even the ones yet unborn) this will not be our portion in Jesus name.

He was supposed to follow in the footsteps of his Master Elisha by seeking to inherit the anointing upon his Master. His Master died without bequeathing the anointing of God upon his life to a faithful servant. His bones in a grave raised a dead man back to life.

Our Father in heaven is reminding us in this season that para-adventure we have been doing Deeds of Honour and we feel He has forgotten our deeds of honour, He says He will remember us for good, He will visit us with His Divine Favour and reward us in Jesus name.

He is also encouraging someone here today that if you have not been engaging in Deeds of Honour, today is your day of salvation, you can start today and He will definitely reward you in Jesus name.

Father answer me in the day of my trouble; send me help from your sanctuary in Jesus name.

Father may your name defend and protect me and my household in Jesus name.

Father remember me and have respect upon me and upon my offering in Jesus name.

Father as I delight myself in you grant me my hearts desires and make all my plans succeed in Jesus name.

May The Lord Find Us Useful, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

May The Lord Find Us Useful, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

The theme of the month of March is ‘Justified to be Gloried’, which ties in so well with theme of our Women’s Conference ‘Behold Thine Handmaid’ and the topic of our Sunday School ‘Are you Available?’ The Spirit of God is one indeed. The Bible says in Psalm 62:11 ‘Once has God spoken, twice have we heard that all power belong to God’.

Brethren God does not need to repeat Himself but when He does it is because He loves us dearly and He does not want us to miss it. I pray that whatever He has chosen to do in this season, He will not do it without us in Jesus name.

Luke 1: 26:38 – The story of Mary the Mother of Jesus is a very familiar story to us, the Bible makes us to understand that The Angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David.

Angel Gabriel greeted her with this salutation ‘Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women’. Even the salutation troubled Mary and the Angel said to her, ‘Fear not, for thou hast found favour with God…’. Someone here today is going to find favour with God in Jesus name.

Brethren, I want to believe that Mary was not the only virgin in the land as at that time, but there was something about her, she made herself available for a very challenging task, to carry a child without knowing a man, conceived of The Holy Spirit and becoming pregnant outside wedlock, if anyone at that time was caught pregnant outside wedlock they were stoned to death.

But Mary said to the Angel Gabriel ‘Behold the Handmaid of the Lord, be it unto me according to thy word.’ She made herself available regardless of the consequence because she knew she was just a vessel that the Lord had chosen to use. May Our Father in heaven find us useful always in Jesus name.

Mary knew that when God gave you a vision He makes provision for the vision. She knew that with men it is impossible but with God all things are possible. She knew that with her faith and trust in God, she will please God and God will reward her.

Brethren God is always looking for a man or woman he can use for His exploits, a vessel that will make themselves available. Ezekiel 22:30 says ‘ And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.’

Hannah the Mother of Prophet Samuel prayed a prayer that pleased the Lord in 1 Samuel 1:10-11 when she asked Jehovah The God of Israel for a male child and she vowed to give him back to The Lord, it was not the eloquence of her speech that pleased God but the fact that she made herself available to be used as a channel for a High Priest that God wanted to use to replace Eli and his sons to be born. Hannah prayed according to the perfect will of God and The God of Israel granted her petition.

Someone here today will pray according to the perfect will of God, and The God of Israel will answer your prayer in Jesus name.

In Joshua Chapter 2 Rehab and the whole of her family were saved from the destruction of the city of Jericho because she made herself available to be used of God to hide His sons Joshua, Caleb & the other spies, when they were sent to spy the land, she defied the orders of her King and went ahead to hide the spies because she had heard about the Greatness of Jehovah the Man of War, The God of Israel, the One that has never lost any battle, the God that can save & deliver even from the lawful captor and she decided to make herself available to be used of Him, regardless of the consequence. She believed in a God that she had never known or seen. The Bible says blessed are those who believed without seeing.

Rehab was a prostitute but I don’t think we can call her that anymore seeing that she was mentioned in the Hall of Faith (Fame) in Hebrews 11:31

May Our Father in heaven deliver you and yours from every destruction of the enemy in Jesus name.

The question will then be will I make myself available, will I be able to say Lord here I am use me Lord, let your will done on earth as it is in heaven.

I Will Arise, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

I Will Arise, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

Our Theme for the month of January 2016 is Arising Glory and the Bible says in Isaiah 60:1 ‘Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of The Lord is risen upon thee’
The word of God says in Micah 6:8 ‘Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy, when I fall, I shall arise, when I sit in darkness The Lord shall be a light unto me.’

Our Bible reading will be taken from the Book of Acts of Apostle 3:1-11

This was a man the Bible did not mention or attribute a name to. He was referred to as a certain man lame from his mother’s womb, and he had been in this situation for 40 years. So because he could not walk, he could not help himself let alone have a means of livelihood. He was carried maybe by family or friends, and they laid him daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, the temple Solomon built for God had many gates, I don’t know why the Lame man choose the one called Beautiful.

He was set in front of the beautiful gate but his life was far from beautiful, he could not help himself, he would not do the things his fellow young men did, no activity whatsoever, he was in front of the temple hearing the worship & praise to God but he could not go into the Temple.

Brethren gates are barriers used to close an opening in a wall, fence or hedge. I want to believe that there are physical gates and spiritual gates. Spiritual gates can be likened to hinderances, obstacles, limitations, backwardness, no wonder the Psalmist said in the Book of Psalm 24:7
‘Lift up your heads, o ye gates and be ye lift up, ye everlasting door, and the King of glory shall come in.

Some people lived in beautiful houses/mansions, drive the best cars, they have everything that money can buy but they do not have Jesus, everything around them is beautiful as it were but their lives is not anywhere beautiful by the standards of God and not man. The bible says in Mark 8:36 ‘What shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loose his soul, what can a man give in exchange for his soul?.

A life that has everything else but Jesus cannot be beautiful, the Bible says in Psalm 34:8 ‘Oh taste and see that The Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in Him’. Please if you have not given you life to Jesus, I will admonish you to do so before the end of this service and I can assure you from my little walk with God that your life will never be the same again.

I want to believe that for The Glory of God to arise in our lives, our positioning in life matters. The Book of Ecclesiastes 9:11 makes us to understand that the fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skilful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by time and chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
I want to believe that the lame man was in the right place at the right time. Brethren we need to be in the Place where God wants us to be at every given point in time. My prayer for us all is that we will be in the right place at the right time always, so we do not miss our blessings in Jesus name.
The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:20 ‘But in a great house there are different vessels, some unto honour and some unto dishonour, are we doing what God has called us to do or are we just doing what we want to do.

If the lame man was missing at the Beautiful gate in front of the temple at the time when Peter and John (agents of change/ destiny helpers) whom God had sent to him, he would have missed his blessing (his miracle).
So because he did not allow his situation to stop him from being where he needed to be, God turned his situation around for the best, he was dropped of by family or friends but by the end of the day he was able to walk on his 2 feet without needing the assistance of anyone.
I have come to announce to someone here today that every problem has an expiry date,
and per adventure you have been asking yourselves when will this challenge become a testimony,
God says arise and shine for His Glory is risen upon you, He says for your sake He has chosen to arise for your set time to be favoured has come.

Arising Glory is the theme of the month as spoken by God through His Prophet, the Bible recorded in verse 8 of Acts 3 that the lame man leaped up and stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping praising God for the great thing He had done in his life.

Brethren lameness as it were could represent something else in our lives, for the lame man it was the limitation of not being able to walk, for someone else it could be failure, disappointment, discouragement, physical & spiritual unfruitfulness or challenge.
But I have good news for someone today, The Lord says everything the enemy has stolen from you, He will give you the strength to pursue, to overtake and recover all without fail in Jesus name.

The Lord says for your waiting He will give you double honour, for ashes He will give you beauty, for the spirit of heaviness, He will give you the garment of praise.

The bible recorded in the book of Exodus 12:36 that God Almighty paid the Israelites wages of over 400 years of hard labour in the land of Egypt in one night. The Bible says and they spoiled the Egyptians, no wonder they pursued after them when they realised but we know the end of their story, who can battle with Lord, no one, whoever does it never lives to tell the tale.

He says He will anoint you with oil of gladness above your fellows in Jesus name.
He says He will remove every limitation from your path in Jesus name.
The sky will not be your limit but heaven will be your goal in Jesus name.

Isaiah 62:2 says and thou shalt be called a new name which the mouth of The Lord shall name.
He says he will give you a new name, para-venture people have been calling you all kinds of names, don’t you know her she is the one that does not have a child, you don’t know her, she is that sister or brother that is still single, no one has come for her/him.

Psalm 113:9(He maketh the barren woman to keep house and to be a joyful mother of children. God did it for Sarah, Elizabeth & Manoah’s wife, He will do it for you in Jesus name.
For the single men in the house, you will find your good thing before the end of this year in Jesus name.

For our singled sisters I decree in the name of Jesus you will find the bones of your bones (and the ribs of your ribs) before the end of this year.

He says He will put a new song in your mouth (the lame man could not go into the Temple of God when he was lame but after he received his miracle, he not only entered the Temple but he sang and danced to a new song and people around him were amazed at the wonders of God in his life, as a matter of fact some people were angry, jealous and envious of that which The Lord had done for him.

He says He will give you better opportunities and divine ideas. He says favour will be your foot mat.
He says He will not only make everything around you beautiful but He will also beautify your life and he will make you laugh and all that hear you laugh will laugh with you.

He says you should not remember the former things, neither should you consider the things of old, because He will do a new thing for you.

What do we need to be able to arise?

We need Faith: Hebrews 11:6 ‘But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek & serve Him.

The lame man believed in the name of Jesus whom Peter and John proclaimed. He was expecting money from them but even they said, they did not have money but offered him something else, something money cannot buy, he was not discouraged, he believed and took their hand when they offered to help him up.

Consistency: The Bible says in verse 2 of Acts 3 that the lame man was dropped off at the gate called Beautiful every day, he was not missing at the gate. He kept coming.
The word of God in John 16:24 encourages us to keep asking till our Joy is full.

Isaiah 49:31 says ‘But they that wait upon The Lord shall renew their strength (Let us not be weary in well doing, for if we faint not our reward is sure)
Let us be faithful stewards that The Lord will find worthy. Service unto God and not unto man because we love and fear Him.

The Psalmist says in Psalm 121:1-2 ‘I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from The Lord which made heaven and earth’

We need to be expectant, in verse 4-5 of Acts 3 the lame man who seeing Peter & John about to go into the Temple asked alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John said, look on us, and he gave heed unto them expecting to receive something of them.
They say Expectation is the mother of Manifestation.

Romans 10:11 says for as many as looked unto Him, they were not ashamed, their faces were enlightened.

And for our glory to arise and be permanent, we need to give glory to God and be thankful.
Verse 8 of Acts 3 says and he leaping up stood and walked and entered with them into the temple walking and leaping and praising God.

The bible makes us to understand in Luke 17:11-19 that 10 Leapers were cleansed by Jesus but only one was cleansed and made whole because he came back to say thank you to Jesus. They say a thankful heart is a thinkful heart.
May our Father in heaven bless us and cause His Glory to arise in us in Jesus name.

Psalm 24:7-10
Father, Almighty Father whatsoever is hindering my glory from arising in you, I pray remove From my path in Jesus name. Father uproot every gate that is hindering my glory from arising in you.

My Father, My Father do something new in life, in marriage, in my home, in my career, in my academics, in my business, in your church in Jesus name.

May The Lord Find You to Be A Man/Woman After His Heart, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

The month of August 2015 has been declared a month of Basking in Divine Favours by God Almighty through His Prophet as inspired by The Holy Spirit. The month of August is the eighth month and the number 8 represents New Beginnings, and our Father in heaven is saying that in this month and beyond we will experiencing His goodness in a New dimension, He says He will open new doors of favour unto us like He has never done before, doors that will launch us into a new realm of His Glory in Jesus name.

The word basking means ‘to lie exposed to warmth and light, typically from the sun, for relaxation and pleasure’.

Favour means an attitude of approval or liking, showing an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual, when we say Divine favour, it means that it is from God.

Basking in Divine favours, I believe in my own interpretation means swimming in God’s endless favour. It denotes that a fellow sleeps and wakes up within the confines of God’s Divine favour (the goodness of God).

The following scriptures explain it better:

Psalm 103: 5 ‘Who satisfies thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.’

Psalm 23:5-7 ‘Thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, thou anointed my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of The Lord for ever.

Psalm 125:2 ‘As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so The Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Brethren in the Bible there was a man that basked in the Divine favour of God all his life and that man was King David. This is how God introduced David the eighth and the last son of Jesse the Bethlehemite in 1 Sam 16:1 ‘And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? (May the Lord not reject us in the name of Jesus.) Fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehmite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

In Acts 13:21-23, this is what Apostle Paul confirmed The Lord said about David: ‘Afterward they desired a King and God gave them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, after the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their King to whom also He gave testimony and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all My will (NCV says who will do all I want him to do, AMP says who will do all My will and carry out My programme fully), Of this man’s seed hath The Lord according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus. No wonder in the Bible a lot of people referred to the Lord as the son of David.

Brethren this is awesome, My prayer for us is that The Lord himself will testify of us in this way, that He will find you & I to be men & women after His own heart, who will do all He wants us to do according to His will in Jesus name.

Brethren of all the Kings in the Bible David was the only king The Lord introduced as a man after His own heart who walked in the ways of The Lord. Some of the kings according to the Bible did what was right in the sight of The Lord but not with a perfect heart. King Amaziah the son of Joash in the Bk. of 2 Kings 14:3 (And he did that which was right in the sight of The Lord, yet not like David his father.

2 Chron. 25:2 says ‘And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart’.

So Brethren this tells us that before we can please God, we need to have a perfect heart towards Him, a heart that loves and obeys Him because we love & fear Him. Our Lord Jesus said in the Bk. of Matt. 15:8 (This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me)

Brethren the state of our heart matters to God, at all times, that is why he gives us a new heart (a heart of flesh) and takes away the stony heart when we become born-again Ezek. 36:26 because as the Chief Potter it is only a heart of flesh He can work on, if our hearts are not malleable then He will not be able to mould us into the shape He wants us to become, not what we want to become.

King David was also the only King that was recorded in the Bible who could officiate as a King, a Priest and a Prophet, he was a Psalmist as well, he wrote the greater part of all the Psalms in the Bible.

This beautiful compliment ‘a man after My own heart, is one that should characterise every person who wears the name of Christ (for the Bible says every born- again child of God is named and called by His name because he paid the price to purchase us with His precious Blood)

  1. For David was not only the ancestor of Christ according to the flesh

  2. But he possessed many of the attributes that were later perfected by Christ which should characterise all those which are Disciples of Christ.

Let us consider some of these attributes that David had that were confirmed in the Bible that made him stand out as a man after God’s own heart and my prayer for us is that God will grant us the grace to manifest these attributes in our lives or for God to perfect them if they are already manifesting in our lives.

David loved the word of God, we can please read the whole of Psa.119 when we get home so we can have a better understanding of this statement but I will quote Psa. 119: 11 Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee, He was able to discern that the word of God was law, it protects, it revives from affliction, it gives peace of mind & hope amongst so many other benefits.

David loved to pray Psa. 116: 1-2 (I will call upon Him as long as I live.) David knew that God was a God that answered prayers and his love for prayers was based upon the fact that God had answered him before, he loved to commune with God Psa. 42: 1-2 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God, when shall I come and appear before God? David loved the presence of God hence he said in Psa.122: 1 ‘I was glad when I was asked to come into the house of the Lord. Psa. 10: 4 ‘I will enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise. Psa. 84: ‘For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand, I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

David loved to praise God ( He was a worshiper, I think this attribute really stood out in his life, He loved to praise and worship God) he did it with the whole of his heart not minding who was watching him or the circumstance he found himself, he always praised God. Psa. 119:164 ( Seven times a day I praise you, He praised God because of His righteous judgements, for His Greatness & faithfulness, His loving-kindness and he was determined to sing praises as long as he lived Psa. 103:33. The example of David bringing the ark of The Lord into the city of David from the house of Obed-Edomite in 2Samuel 6:11.

David loved unity among Brethren Psa. 133:1 David knew the value of good friendship and unity as exemplified in the relationship he had with Jonathan in 1 Sam, 18:1 Prov.18:24 says ‘There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. He also knew the terrible pain of division within a family (his sons Amnon & Absalom 2Sam. 13

David hated every false way: I hate every false way Psa. 119: 104 His hatred was based upon his understanding of Gods precepts. His hatred affected his selection of activities and friends. Psa 101: 3-4, 6-7.

The only sin recorded against David in the Bible was the sin of sleeping with Uriahs wife and the killing of Uriah and the covering of the sin. But when the Lord sent Prophet Nathan to him, he genuinely repented of his sins because the Bible says a broken heart and a contrite spirit will The Lord not look down on.

His reaction to the death of Saul in 2 Sam. 1:19-27(verse 21: ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offering: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.) was something out of this world, for as long as Saul was alive he chased David from one cave to another because he wanted to kill him, David even had an opportunity to kill him but he did not, in 1 Sam. 24: 4-5, he felt so bad (the Bible said and his heart smote him) that he cut the skirt of an anointed of the Lord, David understood that even though The Lord had rejected Saul he was still the anointed of The Lord, Brethren we must not on any account fight an anointed man or woman of God, we must at all times leave the Lords anointed to Him to deal with, He knows how to deal with them.

His reaction to the death of his son Absalom that overthrew his kingdom and seeked to kill his own Father in 2 Sam. 18:33 (And the King was much moved and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept, and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom. Would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son.

His reaction to Shemei a relation of Saul as he ran for his life from his own son Absalom in 2 Sam.16: 12-13 The Bible said Shemei cursed and threw sand at him but this is what he said to one of his men that requested he give the command to have Shemeis head taken off, ‘It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing today.

Brethren I can assure you it is only a heart that is like the heart of God that would react in this way and manner. The Lord will help us in Jesus name.

So Brethren because David was a man after Gods own heart and he had all these attributes, God was confident that David would do all that God asked of him. My prayer for us is that God will grant us the grace to be motivated at all times to do All of His will in Jesus name. The Bible says in the Bk. of Matt.7:21 Not everyone that saith unto me Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
