You Will Recover All Without Fail, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye
Text: 1 Sam. 30: 1-20
The month of August 2016 has been declared a month of ‘Staggering Accomplishment’ by God Almighty through His Prophet as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Wikipedia Dictionary defines Staggering: as a state of astonishment, amazement, surprise, flabbergasted, leave open- mouthed, or take someone’s breath away.
Accomplishment on the other hand is defined as something that has been achieved successfully.
There is someone here, you have been enjoying trickles of God’s mercy and goodness, but just like an arrow or catapult is launched, you are just about to be shot into another realm of God’s glory, you are about to experience the wonders and awesomeness of God like you have never done before. The staggering accomplishment God is about to give you, is going to leave you flabbergasted, it is going to amaze you beyond your dreams, imagination or what you have ever asked of God.
I can hear an abundance of rain, may it shower on us with the blessings of God in Jesus name.
Brethren God is not a man that He should lie, neither is He the son of man that he should repent, if He has said it He will do it, if He has spoken it, He will make it good in Jesus name. God is the only one that can give staggering accomplishments, vain is the help of man.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:6 ‘Paul planted, Apollos watered, but it is God that give the the increase.’
Brethren if we cast our minds to 1Sam. 15: 1- 3 it is the Amalekites that God instructed King Saul to utterly destroy because of what they did to his people (the children of Israel) when they were making their way through the wilderness to the Promised Land. If we remember very well Saul disobeyed God because he did not fully carry out the instructions of God, it was the same people that tormented David and his men in this Bible passage. Brethren the Goliath we fail to eliminate might come back to torment us, so we need to be careful in our dealings with God, we must act in total obedience to the word and the commands of God.
So when David and his Mighty men came back and found out that the Amalekites had raided, struck and burnt Ziklag a place they had made home and carried away their families alive and everything they owned, they did the first thing that every other person would do in the flesh, they wept until they had no more strength to weep.
There is someone here this morning and the Lord God Almighty says I should tell you that your days of weeping in the secret are over. The Bible says in the Bk of Psa. 30:5 that weeping might endure in the night but Joy comes in the morning time.
The Almighty says I should announce to you that your joy has come in Jesus name.
But Brethren I believe that after the weeping session that actually did not yield any results rather than that the mighty men of David began to conspire to stone him because their souls were bitterly grieved for their lost family members.
Something came over David and he encouraged and strengthen himself in the Lord his God, David must have remembered the goodness of the Lord from time past, how God had delivered him severally from the Lion, the Bear, Goliath of Gath and several other enemies including Saul who he was running from at that moment, the Bible says in Isa 59:19 that when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him on our behalf. The Spirit of David the Man of War woke up, and he said to Abiatha the Priest Ahimelech’s son bring me the ephod, let me inquire of the Lord the solution to this problem, weeping is not the solution to this problem.
Brethren whose counsels will you believe? Who do we consult when we run into troubled waters? The Bible says the arm of flesh will always fail but those that put their trust in The Lord shall not be put to shame, and I declare that as you put your Trust in God you shall not be put to shame in Jesus name.
Brethren there is something I want us to understand in this life no matter how popular or how much you might think that people love or like you do not put your trust or rely on them totally, because the Bible made us to understand that the mighty men of David loved him, they were loyal to him, they were ready to sacrifice their lives for their General, if we cast our minds to 2 Sam. 23: 15 – 17 these same men risked their lives and broke through the host of the Philistines army and drew water from the wells of Bethlehem because their General desired water from that well because he was in exile running away from Saul but yet on the day that he needed their encouragement they wanted his head.
There is a song that goes like this I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved by my enemies.
The Bible recorded in verse 8 that the Lord answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all”.
And The Lord is saying to someone here today Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all, not some, not a few but all in Jesus name. Every wasted years, time, gift, talent, resource is being restored by The Lord today in Jesus name. The Lord is granting someone Divine Speed this morning to pursue, to overtake and to recover all without fail in Jesus name.
Brethren there is something I want to point out to you in verse 11, the Bible recorded that the enemy made a mistake that caused David and his mighty men to have victory. The enemy abandoned a weak servant that was too weak to continue the journey with them and that was the servant that gave David and his men the vital information as to what way the enemy went and they were able to pursue. Brethren in this season of Staggering Accomplishments your enemies will make a mistake that will cause you to be elevated and promoted in Jesus name. Maybe someone did not hear me the first time. I prophesy that your enemies will make a mistake that will cause you to out-run, over-take and recover all you have lost or he has stolen from you in Jesus name.
Brethren, Queen Esther in the Bk of Esther 2: 1- 17 Esther came into the scene because Queen Vashati made a mistake of her life ( If she had known what was about to happen she would have honoured her husband). Esther was a slave in a foreign land and God granted her favour and she was graced to be the Queen of the land.
In the Bk of Gen. 50:20 Joseph’s brethren meant it for evil but The Lord turned it around for good for Joseph and he became the Prime Minister in a foreign land to preserve lives including his brothers’ lives. (A slave and an illegal immigrant).
It is only Jehovah the God of heaven and earth that can cause a prisoner to sleep and wake up as a Prime Minister. He made a Home Secretary to sleep and woke up as a Prime Minister; the Bible makes us to understand in Psalm 75:6-7 that promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge; he put teeth down one, and setteth up another.
Prayers
Ruth 1: 19 – 21
So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
21 I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
Father, do not allow my sojourn in the United Kingdom to be in vain in Jesus name.
Father I will not leave this land empty in Jesus name.
Father, Almighty Father whatever I have lost out of my ignorance and carelessness, Father give me the strength to pursue, to overtake, to recover all without fail in Jesus name.
Joel 2: 25- 27
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
Daddy, my Father in heaven restore to me every wasted years, time , resource, talent, gift, intellect, divine health, joy, strength, spiritual authority, confidence in Jesus name. Father restore, You are a God of restoration, a God of second chance, Father restore in Jesus name.
