The Psalmist prayed a prayer which every believer should pray from day to day Psalms 119:18:- Open my eyes, that I may see. Wondrous things from Your law.
God wants us to see spiritually, mentally and physically. Of all these spritual insight is the greatest because the spiritual rules the physical. God can cause us to see opportunities to breakthrough in career, business, marriage and ministry. What others do not see, the Holy Ghost can open our eyes to see.
2 Corinthians 4:18:- While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. It is mandatory for every believer to see . Just as it’s not okay for you to be naked, miserable, wretched and poor. It’s not okay to be blind.
JESUS REBUKED THE CHURCH FOR BEING BLIND
Revelation 3:17-18:- Because you say, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
Elisha had uncommon vision. 2 Kings 6:16-17
Zechariah had uncommon vision Zechariah 3:1
Jesus had uncommon vision John 1:47-48
Peter had uncommon vision Acts 5: 3. 2 Peter 1:14
Paul had uncommon vision. 2 Corithians 12:1
IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO LOOK BUT ITS BETTER TO SEE.
Genesis 21:14-19 – So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba. 15 And the water in the skin was used up, and she placed the boy under one of the shrubs. 16 Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot; for she said to herself, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept. 17 And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. 18 Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation.” 19 Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink.
The above passages shows that you can be in the midst of blessing and breakthrough and solution and yet not see it or know it. Hagar was in the same place for a while yet she did not see the solution to her problem until she cried to God . Also David was the only one who saw the unprotected part of Goliath’s Forehead . 1 Samuel 17:49
THE HOLYGHOST IS THE AGENT OF REVELATION AND VISION.
John 16:13:- However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. Proverbs 1:23:- Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.
SAUL. Acts 9 :17-18 it was when the HOLY GHOST fell on Saul that the scales fell of his eyes.
JOHN Revelation 1:10-11 it was when John was in the Spirit (under the influence of the Spirit) that his eyes were opened.
BENEFITS OF UNCOMMON VISION
1. Peace 2 Kings 6:16-17
2. Protection 2 Kings 6:9-10
3. Prosperity Genesis 21:19
4. Power . David I Sam 17:49
5. Helps saves time and energy. 1 Samuel 9:20
OBSERVATIONS
It is possible to see and not see CLEARLY. Mark 8:24-25:- And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” 25 Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.
Jeremiah 1:11-12 – Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” God told Jeremiah “you have seen well”
May GOD give us clarity of vision JESUS NAME. Conclusion Lord please open my spiritual, mental and physical eyes that I may see well.
