Your Level Will Change For Better This Year, by Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

Level is this wise is to mean a position on a scale of amount, quantity, extent, strength, measure or quality. Almost everything in life has a scale for measurement. Weight, height, depth, width, even air, fire, noise, etc. has a scale to measure them.

The life of man can be put on various scales of measurement too. Whether the scale is standard or subjective is another thing, but there are scales we try to fit any life into.

On such scales, we all occupy different levels, which could be as a result of time, our prevailing circumstances, our background, our past efforts, favours we receive, etc.

This morning, I speak the word of prophecy into the life of someone here today, that your level will change for better this year.

Basically, three things can happen to someone’s level on any given scale:

Below the scale which I called abnormal;

Around and about the scale which I called normal;

Or above the scale which I called supernormal.

For example, someone that wants to win a gold medal in 100m Men in Olympics. If his personal best record is 12sec, it’s abnormal, because it’s below the winning scale. If his personal best is 10sec it’s normal. But if it’s personal best is 9sec, that supernormal (exceeding, beyond normal, exceptional).

– There is someone here; God will promote you to the level of supernormal in this year.

Most of us just live normal lives, while there is nothing wrong with that, I want to let us know that there is a higher level we can still get to.

There’s a higher level than where you are now.

One of my best verses in the bible is Mt. 5:16, Jesus told the disciples that their light must so shine and not just simply shine. The emphasis was on so, which means they must exceptionally shine.

Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

– Again I pray for you, may your level be raised for better in this year 2017.

At a point in the lives of the children of Israel, they became slaves in the land of Egypt. The Egyptians made them to serve in pain and hardship. They were made to do tasks that are very difficult and the Egyptians made sure they complied.

It got to a point where God could not watch this anymore, so He sent Moses to let them know their level was about to change from slaves to freeborn.

Exodus 3:7-8

And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

At this time, the Israelites’ level was abnormal: afflicted, task bearers, full of sorrows. God however change their level to supernormal. He made them to have:

– A good land

– Large land (overcrowded Goshen) from 70 people, after 430 years, they were 2 million.

– land flowing with milk and honey

– The heritage of six nations given to one nation.

– There is someone listening to me, I hear that your ‘Goshen’ is now overcrowded. It has served you well in the past, now a better level awaits you. God will grant you a better, larger and sweeter inheritance in Jesus name.

Did God take the Israelites to the Promised Land as He promised? Yes He did. He will take you to yours as well in Jesus name.

In I Chro. 4: 1-30; the bible began to list the genealogy of Judah. Those who gave birth to who in Judah. But when it got to verses 9-10, the bible took a paused to give an account of a man whom God changed his level for better.

Jabez was born alongside these many non-achievers which was normal for his time, worse than that though, the name given to him by his mother was interpreted as ‘sorrow’, which would have made life very abnormal for him.

From that lowest ebb, Jabez cried to God, and Jehovah changed his level to supernormal, as he became more honourable than the men of his time.

1 Chronicles 4:9-10

And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

– There is someone here; God will make you to be more honourable than your brethren. Your level will go higher than those that have gone ahead of you.

May God will bless you indeed.

He will enlarge your coast.

Jehovah’s hand will be with you not against you.

God will keep you from evil.

No evil will grieve you.

The bible tells us that Joseph was the favourite child of Jacob – their father. He was enjoying special favours from home. His brothers however conspired against him and his level in life got worse and worse.

One fateful day though, God transformed Joseph’s level from abnormal to supernormal. Just like today is the day God will transform the life of someone here from abnormal or normal to supernormal in Jesus name.

Genesis 41:9-14

Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker: And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Some of the things that disqualified Joseph to stand before the king as an adviser were mentioned by the Butler in the above passage: He was a young man. He was a Hebrew. He was a servant to the captain of the guard and he was in prison.

Guess what, the king was so trouble that he bye-passed them all.

– There is someone listening to me, God will put aside your age, your nationality and your present social class and make you to be appointed unto an unimaginable level this year.

– There is another person, you will be at the centre of a hasty decision by your superiors, but it will end well for you.

The bible makes us to know that Elisha was called to prophet hood service towards the end of Elijah’s ministry. He probably served Elijah diligently for about three years. Not long of a service compared to sons of prophet who were either born into it or have served from their childhood.

At the final moment when Elijah would be taken away by God, Elisha realised it was a defining moment for his destiny, so he was determined to receive double of the grace of God upon Elijah.

And so it happened that Elisha received the double portion of the anointing of God upon Elijah’s life, so that with just three years of service as a servant of Elijah, he became the Father of all prophets in Israel and Father to the kings around him.

2 Kings 2:12-15

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

– There is someone here, in comparison to your contemporaries, your year of service is smaller, God is however prepared to promote you above the rest of them.

Those who had been doing what you have just started will come and bow to you.

God asked me to say to someone ‘I will make you a father to leaders of your time’.

Time will not permit me to talk about Esther, who entered the competition to become King Ahasuerus’ wife. Within a year, her level rose from just a little foreign girl in Persia to that of the Queen Royal.

The same thing happened for her uncle as well. From working as a gatekeeper at the king’s palace, within 24 hours, Mordecai became the most powerful official in the whole of Persia.

– In this year 2017, may your level change for better in Jesus name.
