What is power? The ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way. Power is crucial for survival.
Without power, it will be impossible for an object or a body to do work or perform any action.
Consequently, the more power an object has, and able to put to use, the greater work that object will be able to do. That is why we hear of horsepower levels. An object with 6 horsepower should be able to accomplish more work than that of 2 horsepower.
Usually though as a body exerts its energy to do work, if that energy is not replenished at the level at which it is been used, there comes a time when all its energy will be gone, and the object will become powerless. So power renewal is very critical to the continuance of being able to perform.
In a long-distance race, the runners usually start with good strides to obtain a lead, after which their strides will become reduced, and are spaced out, as they continue to utilize their energy, but there is always a surge of renewed strength when the finishing line is in view, in which case the runners activates a residual power for the final push.
The year 2020 has been a kind of marathon, a sort of endurance race. We all started the year on good strides, but along the line most people’s strides must have slowed down. As the year is left with less than 5 days, what is critically needed at this time is what I term ‘the power for the final push’.
Those who are mothers will know how to explain this better. It probably takes a few seconds or minutes for the conception of a child to take place with ease, with both husband and wife not even knowing it.
For the next nine months, the baby keeps growing, and for most people again, this process does not come with any huge impact to the lives of the couple.
But when the time comes for the baby to come forth, power for the final push is critical, either naturally or by clinical assistance; delivery requires power.
We are all at the travailing line for this year 2020. The year is still trying to claim as much as it can. The power for the final push shall, however, be granted to you in Jesus name.
Receive the power for the final push in Jesus mighty name!!!
There are characters in the Bible that required the power for the final push in circumstances that faced them in life, some were fortunate to receive this power while some did not.
The result of which was crucial to their destinies.
In Genesis 12: 1-3, the Bible says that God had already told Abram to leave his nation, his kindred and his Father’s house and proceed to a place which he would show him. The Bible says that Terah – Abraham’s father agreed to follow him to this land of promise, however he died on the way at Haran (Genesis 11:31-32). 31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there. 32 And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
As you progress to the land of your promise, you will not die on the way in Jesus name.
Someone would say, but Terah was old. His son Abraham was already 75 when they left home. Whether you are old or young, you will not die on the way to your promise land.
Your life will not end on the way prematurely like rising smoke.
You are going to the land of promise, the land of promise you will enter alive and well in Jesus name.
See the ‘land’ of 2021 is ahead of you. I pray that you will enter in Jesus name. I decree that you will enter in the name of Jesus. I command that you will enter in Jesus name.
In Isaiah chapter 38, the Bible makes us know that King Hezekiah started his race well in life. He served God with all his heart, burnt down altars of idols and was righteous in all his ways.
When God asked Prophet Isaiah to tell him to put his house in order for his home going, he prayed to God and he was given 15 more years to live. The problem he however had was that he ought to have prayed for special power to sustain him through the extra years.
He made an error during those 15 years which affected his previous good report and also his succession (Isaiah 39).
In the remaining days of his year, you will not fall into error.
All your achievements of previous months will not be ruined in the final days remaining.
The year 2021 succeeding the year 2020 will be glorious for you in Jesus name.
When God gives you extra blessings, it will not make you to derail.
You will serve the Lord better in the coming year.
Christianity during the time of the Early Church was characterised by power, even though it was still dangerous. People like Demas, Timothy, Barnabas, John Mark, Titus etc., who were accomplices and followers of Paul the Apostle, were privileged to see first-hand special signs and wonders performed by God through his hands (Acts 19: 11-12).
Towards the end of Paul’s ministry however, it was sad to read that Demas actually forsook Paul at the time he needed him most. (2 Timothy 4:1-12). Thessalonica, love this present world
The power to finish well in any course of action and life endeavours, may God grant unto you. You will not be a quitter. You shall be a finisher.
The world system will not entrap you.
You will not abandon or forsake things that have mattered to you for ephemerals.
No environmental factor will lure you away from God and your calling in Jesus name.
The Bible tells us in Genesis 25:21-26 that Esau and Jacob were twins. When their time to be delivered was approaching, both of them were struggling to position themselves for birth first. Esau was lucky to come out first and therefore was to enjoy all the privileges that came with the birthright. (Deuteronomy 21:15-17). – Heir to estate and entitled to double portion blessing.
However, the Bible further said that when they grew up, they had two different personalities. Esau was a field man (hunter) and Jacob was a home man.
One day Esau went out to hunt for game, he was famished by the time he came back, but on getting home, he saw that Jacob had already prepared a meal.
Esau begged Jacob for a portion of this meal to quench his hunger. Jacob however said, he would give him some on the condition that Esau sells his birthright to him (Genesis 25: 21-26).
One would have thought Esau would say, ‘birthright and food, what is the correlation? Take your food away, I will prepare something quick’.
On the contrary, Esau said, ‘I am dying, and you are talking about birthright, it’s all yours’. Jacob went further and made him swear by God.
At this point what Esau needed was just power for the final push to endure the hunger and cook his own meal, so as to retain his birthright, but he failed. He sold a massive eternal privilege for a bowl of soup (Hebrews 12:16-17). Later generations were using him as a bad example. 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
You that is in a position of honour, you will not lose it in Jesus name.
There is someone listening to me now, you are been tempted to compromise on a privilege you have been given you will not fall for it in Jesus name.
God will not let a morsel of bread to ruin your destiny.
No affliction will drive you to do the unthinkable in Jesus name.
Your status in the strata of life will not be lost for whatever reason in Jesus name.
Let us consider a few people in the scriptures that were blessed with power for the final push.
Elijah the Prophet was one of them.
The Bible did not tell us much about Elijah’s background, all we know is that he had an unusual supernatural power from God. The signs and wonders he performed were in the league of Moses.
1 Kings 17:1. And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
The Bible records at least 16 mighty miracles performed by God through Elijah: He commanded drought; multiplied the widow of Zarephath’s meal; raise her dead son back to life; consumed sacrifice with fire from above; roasted 102 soldiers with supernatural fire; open heaven for rain to fall; divided River Jordan and walked through on dry ground; etc
However, at a critical point in Elijah’s life he panicked and fled into the wilderness due to the threat of Jezebel upon his life. The life and ministry of Prophet Elijah was at that point about to end on a sad note.
By the special intervention of God, Elijah received power for the final push of his prophetic ministry; having been fed supernaturally and spiritually by God (1 Kings 19:1-21).
With that power, he was able to confront his fears, appoint and train his successor – Elisha, and he later departed this earth gloriously like no one has ever done before.
I pray for someone listening to me, the Jezebels of life will not end your life prematurely.
Your life shall be spent to the full.
Your destiny will be too dangerous for the enemy to mess up with in Jesus name.
I am asked to tell someone listening to me that ‘this is not it’.
You are asking God, is this it? Is this all? God says I should tell you no.
There are still more things for you to do.
God will use you to put the Ahab’s and Jezebel’s of life in their place.
You will still bring relief and succour to many.
You will also appoint and train those that will continue after you and you will later enjoy a spectacular send forth in the end.
God will send his angels to feed you supernaturally. God, Himself will feed you spiritually.
Both your physical, spiritual and other sorts of powers will be boosted by God.
The year 2020 will not be your terminator, neither will it signify your decline.
Receive the power for the final push in Jesus name!!
Apostle Paul was used by God greatly after his conversion from Judaism to Christianity. He went from city to city, coast to coast to preach the gospel with great signs following.
In Acts 21:10-15, as he was ministering at Caesarea, there was a prophecy from the renowned Prophet Agabus who came all the way from Judea and said that if Paul should proceed on his proposed journey to Jerusalem, he would be arrested and that would possibly be the end of his freedom.
At this point, Paul was in a position to decide whether to go to Jerusalem or not. Somehow the Holy Ghost empowered him for the final push in his ministry to go; as he was destined by God to preach to Caesar in Rome by being arrested. (Acts 27:21-26). 21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. 22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship. 23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, 24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. 25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. 26 Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.
Paul was later able to declare that he had done all that he was assigned to do by God (2 Timothy 4:7-8). He was also certain that crown was waiting for him in Heaven. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
I decree in the name of Jesus as touching your Divine calling and destiny, nothing shall make you afraid.
You will stand before the Caesars of your time to testify to the power of God.
Every course you begin shall be finished by you.
The power to keep the faith, God will grant unto you.
You will fight a good fight and your reward will not elude you in Jesus name.
The bible makes us to know that Jacob used style to run away from his brother Esau because he had promised to kill Jacob after the death of their Father (Genesis 27:41-46).
So, Jacob went to his uncle Laban and sojourned in Syria for 20 years. After this God told him to return to Canaan, but then there was still the threat of Esau. Jacob must have thought God had sorted that out, but when he heard that his brother was coming to meet him with 400 men, he knew that the threat was still real (Genesis 32: 3-8). Divide themselves and select gifts to appease his brother.
At this point, Jacob could not even turn back to Syria, as Esau’s men were travelling on fast animals; while his own movement was slow (Genesis 33: 12-13).
The only thing he could do was to call on the God that asked him to return home for supernatural power for this final push of the journey. Thankfully, the power was delivered as Jacob prevailed in prayers (Genesis 32:9-32).
When Esau met him, he began to hug and kiss him instead of killing him as he had vowed (Genesis 33: 1-4).
May the power to prevail over the remaining days and threats of 2020 be given to you right now.
For someone listening to me now, what I hear concerning you is Divine reversal. Instead of threat and annihilation, God says you will now experience acceptance and celebration.
To another person, the Spirit of God said I should tell you that He has already ‘softened the ground for you’, ‘Go and occupy, He says.
To another person, all the armies that have come against you shall fizzle away into oblivion.
They will not be able to do you any harm.
The Trinity Almighty had to put up a ‘drama’ that confused Satan in order to save mankind from our sins and eternal doom.
It was decided by the Godhead that God the Son, had to be born in the flesh and name Jesus -Saviour; as He had to die in our place, so that we might then be saved. Satan was however oblivious that Jesus could resurrect. He thought one of the Godhead would have been killed!
I Cor 2: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Jesus coming in the flesh however meant that He too would feel pain, hurt and agony, like us.
So, when the final hours of Jesus’ assignment were approaching, the pain and sorrow were much.
(Matthew 26:36-45). Soul exceeding trouble to the point of death…
Thanks be to God the Father who made power available for Jesus – the Son of Man to continue with the final push of His calling (Luke 22:39-46) and He was able to fulfil His purpose. He was able to declare ‘it is finished’ (John 19:30).
The power to fulfil your purpose shall be made available to you.
You will not be overwhelmed with pain, agony and sorrow.
The angels of the Almighty God shall strengthen you.
You own will shall not overpower the will of God for your life.
Power for the final push into the year 2021 is made available to you right now in Jesus might name.
Prayers
Father, thank You for my Ebenezer ‘Hitherto You have helped me this year.
Father, grant unto me the power for the final push in this year 2020.
