Securing Your Eternal Future, by Minister Victor Olajubu

Text – Matthew 6:33

The earthen are experts in securing a natural future and so well achieve this by ‘SEEKING’ what to eat, drink, and wear – in general terms, COMFORT in this temporal life.

Jesus encouraged the Jews present in the room during one of His teachings to seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness and that all the other things required for man to live a comfortable life on earth will be added. For us as spiritual Jews, it is imperative that we seek the Kingdom of God and that we seek God’s righteousness. The Kingdom of God & His righteousness don’t come to us naturally, something not cheaply comes about – it must be sought to be found. To think that we can seek earthly pleasures the same way the gentiles do and expect God to add His kingdom & His righteousness as bonuses is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness should be our ultimate priority

There is a deceptive mind-set that we’re born into this world, we grow up, develop, gradually become independent from our parents, build a life of our own, enjoy life, grow old, die, and then THAT’S THE END. What load of lies??? Death is not the end to life but the door that leads to the start of eternal life with God in Heaven or eternal damnation with the devil in hell. THE REALITY OF ETERNITY WON’T GO AWAY. Anybody born into this life will live forever and the issue of where everyone spends eternity is another QUESTION.

John 5:28 -29 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

DONE – I am sure you understand what JESUS is saying here? The waking up is a constant, applicable to all but where people spend eternity will be determined by what they did in life, not whilst in the grave – it is appointed for me to die once an after this the judgement. People don’t stuffs in the grave. The brevity of life is something none of us can argue or contend with even if we lived up to 150yrs. There is nothing in the Bible that guarantees the next breath. We all are fighting for our afterlife. The way we live in this current life determines where we end up spending eternity. The good or the evil men have done whilst on earth will determine where they spend eternity.

How Do SEEK?

Luke 10:27 – 27 The man answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’”

Conclusion

THE WAY & MANNER YOU & I SPEND THE VERY BRIEF CURRENT EXISTENCE DETERMINES THE NATURE OF OUR UNENDING EXISTENCE: We are all living for our afterlife – THE BALL IS IN OUR COURTS!!!

One day I am going to die and you are going to die – our tombs would carry those two dates and in between those two dates would be the tiniest of dashes but they would mean the most. Our current existent is exclusive to where we spend eternity, our ultimate destination.

GOD BLESS US ALL!!!
