Eleventh Hour Favour, by Evangelist Israel Ore- Adewole
Bible Text: Matthew 20: 1-16
“For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man. That is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, and said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
And when they had received it, they murmured against the good man of the house, Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen”.
Our God is a God of the 11th hour, He doesn’t forget people. The Bible text helps us to understand how our God works; He is a Just and Good God and He is willing to give every man as their faith receives. He is fair, just and stays by His word.
There is the need to think properly and understand what the Master wants and what the Lord God Almighty requires from us to give us the 11th Hour Favour. By the way; God loves to give unto every man according to his own faith. This God is able to do anything.
God made the whole world but most times we view Him with our physical eyes and think our problems are bigger and too many for Him. He created the whole world and inside the whole world are our needs- Now How big do you think your God is? The God that says He is able to favour you. Many of us live as if nobody created us. If you want to do some calculations about God, you will realize that your need is nowhere to be found.. Speak to God because He is able, if you compare your need to the God Almighty that says “ask and it shall be given to you”, your needs will melt before you.
If you study the story of Jacob and Esau; from the womb, God said “Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated”- Romans 9:13… God does what He wants at His own will and time, therefore cling unto God and in due time He will favour you.
There was a favour I received when we were about to shoot a movie “The Hope of God”- the movie required some Military ammunitions and uniforms – so I approached this person that decided to borrow me but asked not to tell anyone. However I disagreed because I thought about it and decided to go to Abuja to the actual office Military zone without knowing anyone or having any contact of any kind. So I got to the office met the Receptionist ; told the person my request and I was directed to another office; immediately I entered, the man I was directed to just smiled.. “A military man smile!!! – I smiled back”.
Note When God wants to speak for you, He will speak in High places- I told the man what I wanted and where I wanted it and right away I was referred to the Lagos office and I got everything I needed. That was how I got what I wanted without even knowing the required contact beforehand. The truth; you do not need to know anybody, once you know Jesus Christ; you know everything and have everything.
When a road seem to be closed, know of a surety that God is about to use another road. You cannot have something until God intervenes; except you want to labour in vain. The favour of God is there for you to use.
I have a friend we got married in 1991 and he got married the same year. After their wedding they did not have any child of their own until about 3years ago. One amazing thing is that; they stood with Christ and when God did it ; he gave them twins- 1boy , 1 girl- so much more that they do not need to go helter skelter anymore. Look at yourself and tell yourself, mention your name and say “… God cannot forget me”.
The only thing that hinders us from God’s blessing and favour is Sin. Stay away from sin if you want to experience Gods’ divine favour.
Matthew 14:22- 34; This refers to the story of when Jesus walked on water and calmed the storm for the disciples. Peter asked the Lord for a word in order to take action and Jesus Christ gave the word. Brethren, when you have the word, you have your power to act. Peter stood and walked on water and after that time, it has not been recorded that any man walked on water.
Most times our doubt is more than our faith, we do not believe the word of God we hear.
Another factors is that Peter eyes was stayed on Jesus; the Bible notes that when he removed his eyes on Jesus Peter began to sink until Peter called unto Jesus and He was saved. Another striking point is that Jesus and Peter walked back to the boat to meet the disciples.
A lot of people in the Bible, God granted them 11th Hour favour and God wants to give us that favour. However the Lord requires us to have faith to invoke that 11th hour favour. I pray that the words you have heard today will manifest the 11th Hour Favour for you.
Prayer: Jesus Christ I need the power and ability to receive favour from you; the 11th hour favour, Jehovah grant me the favour that will turn my life around in Jesus name; Amen.
