Multiple Grace For Carrying Through, by Rev’d Jonathan Adeboye

Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 9: 11-12, Zachariah 12: 8-10a

“Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all. For man does not know his time. Like fish that are taken in an evil net, and like birds that are caught in a snare, so the children of man are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them (Ecclesiastes 9:11-12)”.

“On that day the Lord will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the Lord, going before them. And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy (Zachariah 12: 8-10a)”.

It is no longer news that this month is a month of excelling in multiple grace.

Grace will answer for you this month, what they say is impossible, God will make it possible for you, and by virtue of the grace of God, you will escape the snares of the evil one in Jesus name, Amen.

Life is a journey and the journey of life is both protracted and complex. I would like to ask; if you are travelling an 100miles journey at what point is it convenient or Okay that your vehicle should break down; Is it at the beginning, at the end or at the middle of the journey?. Not any point I guess, but many go through the journey of like and break down along the way, some never rise again; this is to prove that there are failures in life, there are partial successes, and there are people that succeed fully. As for me I would want to finish well and strong.

Jesus said that is is only those that endure to the end shall be reckoned with.

Jesus Christ himself needed grace during his life time. Luke 2: 40; the Bible says concerning Jesus that he grew, waxed strong in Spirit , filled with wisdom and the grace of God was upon him. So who are you no to need grace?

What is Grace? – The Greek word is Charis. It is the divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the life. It is a thing God impacts but It’s manifestation is external; it would be evident in your life. The grace of God talks for itself. This month the Lord will cause His influence to be upon your heart and it would manifest in every area of your life in Jesus name, Amen.

Why Multiple Grace?

We need multiple grace because life issues are multifaceted, some people experience grace in one aspect of their lives and lack in another. Some people experience grace in the area of wedding but lack grace in child bearing. Some people have grace to get jobs but do not have the grace to retain jobs but we need grace in all areas of life to experience all round success. The journey of life Is protracted, the reason why we need multiple grace; we need grace as we go along in life, all the way.

Two Bible characters that explains how multiple grace works, I present Joseph and Samson..

Both Joseph and Samson were conceived by grace. As a matter of fact. Genesis 29: 30-31.. God shut the womb of Rachael; if not for grace Joseph would not have been born; note that every birth is an act of grace. That you are alive till now is an act of grace. In Genesis 30:22, God remembered Rachael and opened her womb and Rachael named her baby her prophesy saying “ Joseph – that the Lord shall add to me another son” the name was prophetic; Rachael declared that she would have another. I prophesy over your life whatever you are celebrating today is not the end, more is on the way in Jesus name, Amen.

In case of Samson, his conception was a miracle too, because the parents have been waiting upon the Lord. An angel announced his birth to his parents.

Moving away from their birth, Joseph and Samson both grew up by grace and full of anointing. Joseph grew up by grace, his father loved him and sewed him a beautiful robe as result. I pray for you today that in your family you will be special. Another interesting fact about these two characters is that Joseph was hated by his siblings and Samson by the Philistines, they both had battles to fight. When you are operating in grace it doesn’t mean there would not be challenges. I want you to understand that the fact that an individual carries the grace of God doesn’t mean they would not face the challenges of life. I pray for you that God will turn your challenges to stepping stones for you in Jesus name, Amen.

Also, In the case of Joseph; his siblings manipulated his father, plotted a murder scene, announced his obituary and watched as his father mourned him. I do not know what manipulations people are doing against you, but it will turn to victory for you in Jesus name.

I want you to pray now: “ Father in the name of Jesus whatever has been programmed into my life by the forces of darkness in this month of grace let your fire destroy them in Jesus name, every manipulations that have been programmed into my life destroy by fire in Jesus name, Amen.

At some point God silenced the Philistines for a while and silenced the hatred of Josephs’’ brethren for a while.

Their number 3 experience, Both Joseph and Samson had problems with women. Women do not have as much problem with men as much as men have problems with women. Samson a man of anointing had sexual relationship with a harlot (Judges 16) later he had relationship with Delilah where he fell from the grace of God. I pray you will not fall from the grace of God in Jesus name.

Consequences of Samsons’ actions:

  1. His eyes were pulled out
  2. He was molested by his enemies
  3. He died with his enemies
  4. He fell from grace

Joseph also had problem with women but the grace of God was sufficient for him so much that he resisted and moved from grace to multiple grace. Potiphars’ wife kept on saying he wanted him but Joseph flew. I pray for you today that your grace shall not be eliminated in Jesus name. I pray as Joseph escaped, this month you will escape the snare of the fowler in Jesus name.

The fourth experience God gave Samson a window of opportunity in Judges 16: 22- his hair began to grow again unfortunately Samson died with his enemies, he prayed a backslider’s prayer to die with his enemies, I pray for you today “you will not die with your enemies in Jesus name” Amen.

In Josephs’ case he escaped the snares of the fowler and went from been a dreamer to an interpreter of dreams in the Prison. Joseph experienced multiple grace and became a Prime Minister in a foreign land, he became two tribes in Israel; Manasseh and Ephraim. Also his bones were carried into the Promised Land.

Samson began with grace, the anointing of God rested upon him but he ended shamefully. However, Joseph another man enjoyed multiple grace, and obtained total success.

In this journey of life may you finish well; Pray now that the Lord God should make you a Joseph and not a Samson; that you will enjoy multiple grace to carry you through the race of life in Jesus name, Pray that the Lord will release grace upon your life to neutralize and nullify all oppositions in Jesus name, Pray that the Lord pour upon you the Spirit of Grace in Jesus name, Amen.

God bless you.
