Men’s Fellowship

Men’s Fellowship

In today’s society, with no spiritual compass, many men are in bondage to debt, captured by pornography, and caught up in addictions and sin. Many men are confused about masculinity and are disillusioned by the false promises of wealth and power. In the secular world of today, many men have rejected their commitment to marriage, and as a result, families are fragmented and fragile.

Although called by GOD to be spiritual leaders, most men are spiritually adrift. The Men’s Fellowship arm of the Everlasting Father’s Assembly, Leeds recognizes a great need to reach out to men, being sensitive to their needs. The fellowship aims to achieve its objectives by involving men, not only in projects and missions but in helping each other grow in Christ, teaching men to become better husbands, fathers, leaders and witness to other men in the community.

The Purpose of the EFA Men’s Fellowship is to: Build Men for Christ

Our Primary Objective: Create opportunities for men to build Christ-centered, trusting relationships in which they help, encourage and equip each other to:

(1) Grow in Christ-likeness, (2) serve others in need, (3) and evangelize the lost

Men are Strategic

Briefly, let us consider the following results of a survey completed a few years ago and reported by Focus Family Publishing:

If a child is the first person in a household to become a Christian, there is only a 4% probability that everyone in the household will follow.

If the wife, mother is the first person to accept Christ, only a 17% chance the rest of the family will.

But if the man (the husband, the father, God’s Point Man) is the first person in a home to become a Christian, there is a 93% probability that the rest of the family will follow.

These glaring statistics shout the paramount importance of why Everlasting Father’s Assembly, Leeds is becoming more intentional in its quest for the development of men’s ministry that will attract and grow men for Christ. When a man accepts and grows in Christ, his family will follow – Eph. 5:22-33, 6:1-4).

Why we hold regular meetings

Men of the Everlasting Father’s Assembly, Leeds meet approximately once in every two months i.e. six times in a year to build trusting relationships, through which we can help each other know and trust Christ and grow in His likeness. The bi-monthly meeting is a good format for general fellowship, personal testimonies, personal/corporate prayers, Bible teachings, business start-up discussions, career talks, presentations, and strategies for bringing men into the group.
