Beginning can be defined as the first part of something or the start of something; it can also be defined as the origin of something; or the place, time, or way in which something started. It can be the first part of something that continues; or the initial stage of anything.
Other words for beginning are: start, inception, commencement, onset, launch, etc.
One of the names of Jesus Christ is ‘The Beginning’. The completion of this name of His is “The Ending”. This is because Jesus was present before the creation of anything we know, and He also created everything from the start. Before the world was formed, He had been, after the world would have passed away, He will always remain (John 1:1).
The bible also said that God did some amazing things in the beginning of the world. The scripture says all the wonderful things we see today were spoken into existence by God. The bible stated that nothing again was made apart from what God Himself had made from the beginning (Gen. 1:1-31; Heb. 11: 3; John 1:2-3).
The truth is that even though this present material world was made by God in six days and then God rested on the seventh day. God has continued to engage Himself in work ever since then. He has continue to watch over and supervise all He had done before (Jeremiah 1:11-12; Psalms 121: 3-4).
One of the biblical figures that experienced the season of amazing beginnings was Abraham. Abraham was living in the Ur of Chaldeas. God intended to commence a new race that He can call His firstborn among all peoples.
The amazing thing is how God was able to make Abraham to know and believe that he was communicating with the Creator of all, and not one of the deities of Mesopotamia?
How God was able to cleanse him who had been deep in idolatry to become righteous, and even later became God’s friend?
Despite few shortcomings of Abraham, what an incredible experience He had with God. The onset covenants God ensued with Him and the resultant effects on his descendants after him are just incredible.
This is still being enjoyed in the lives of the Israelites till today, just because of the amazing beginnings that their progenitor experienced.
As we commence the first month in the year 2026, God has laid it in my heart that He will grant us the season of amazing beginnings.
God will make us to hear His voice more clearly, more frequently and more distinctly.
He will purify and refine us with His fire right from the onset of the year for the special tasks He has for us this year.
He will make His ways to be better known to us.
He will clear every obstacle ahead of us in the year.
He will help us to lay solid foundations for the year 2026 from now.
He will put together surprising packages and incentives for us from the inception of the year.
He will guide our feet every step of the way in the new year.
Usually, the start of anything can be daunting and overwhelming. God has however promised that this month will be encouraging and delightful for us.
He will also make our descendants to bask all through the year in the amazement He has began with us.
May the Strength of Israel that can not lie assist us from the beginning of the year to the end of the same in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
