Unbelievable can be described as something that is extremely surprising; something that is unable to be believed because of its unlikelihood to happen; something that is too improbable for belief; or something that is difficult or impossible to believe.
Other words for unbelievable are: incredulous, incredible, impossible, astounding, unimaginable, astonishing, unthinkable, dumbfounding, undreamt of, etc.
God is the master Doer of unbelievable things and things that are impossible. He has a track record of doing things that are simply unimaginable.
For example, it took man many years to believe that the Earth is spherical. The first notion of man was that the Earth was flat. Men tried to get to the end of the Earth, but they could not.
It was Pythagoras that first made the proposition in 500BC. But it was not until 1519-1522 that Magellan/Elcano proved that the Earth was indeed spherical. Philosophers before then thought that if the Earth was round, objects will keep falling off, but with God who specialises in unbelievable things, even though the Earth is round, that has never happened.
Isaiah 40:22 NLT
“God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.”
It also took a long time before man could believe that the Earth is suspended in the atmosphere and surrounded by gaseous matter. It took a while before man believed that on Earth, water is far bigger than the land mass.
Scientists have thought that this could not be possible, as that would mean that the Earth could easily drift away or all life could easily be drowned.
Again, this impossibility was made possible by God.
Job 26:7 NLT
“God stretches the northern sky over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing.”
Psalms 24:1-2 NLT
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.”
All through the scriptures, the pages of it are filled with God’s acts of doing unbelievable things and impossible deeds. At a point in the lives of the Children of Israel, they asked Prophet Samuel to appoint a king for them like other nations around them. Samuel was very disturbed by this request, but God asked him to grant them their request (I Sam. 8:1-22).
God selected Saul, the son of Kish to be their first king. Saul however was not sure he was the right person for such a responsibility. For Saul to be convinced, God had to give him few signs. Some parts of those signs were particularly unbelievable.
Prophet Samuel told Saul that that his father’s lost donkeys had been found. He also said that he would meet two men by Rachel’s grave who would confirm the news that the lost donkeys have been found.
Along the way, Samuel said Saul would meet three men who would give him special gifts (two loaves of bread), which he should collect.
The shocking part was that Saul would experience a Divine impartation in the company of certain prophets. This encounter would transform him into another man and he too would start to prophesy in their midst (I Sam 10:1-13).
Saul the son of Kish was from the tribe of Benjamin and not from the tribe of Levi. His father was a farmer and not a prophet. It was however very surprising for bystanders to see and hear Saul as he prophesied, to the extent that it this saying became a proverb in Israel “Is Saul also among the prophets?”.
God has impressed it upon my spirit as this year 2025 is coming to an end that the year 2026 shall be a season for us all to experience unbelievable manifestations of God in our lives, in our families and in the church as a whole.
God said that whatever has eluded us in the year 2025 shall be obtained in the year 2026.
He said that we shall experience unusual favours with Him and with Mankind.
He said that we will receive rare gifts from those He will send to us this year.
He said that news of restoration of previous losses and compensation for the same will be our portion in the course of the year.
He said that our names will be miraculously selected for special considerations.
He said that what we are not naturally entitled to, shall be given to us supernaturally.
He said that our names will be used as expressions of amazements that could have only be wrought by God.
He promised to make an interesting proverb for mankind out of our situation in a good way.
He said that He will transform us into another entity altogether by His power. He promised to anoint us with fresh unction all through the year.
He will make His Spirit to come upon us in an usual manner this year more than ever before.
He will also enable us to prophesy mysteries that will be established.
He said that people will ask us certain kinds of questions all through the year 2026 out of been intrigued and fascinated with what they see and hear.
These and many other unbelievable things are promised to us by God in this year 2026. May the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob make all these to happen in our lives this year in Jesus mighty name.
