Your life shall be devoid of stress, by Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

Your life shall be devoid of stress, by Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

Living requires some form of efforts. Even in the garden of Eden where everything has been made ready for Adam and Eve by God; they were still required to put in some form of efforts.

Genesis 2:15 – And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

But after they sinned, their effort making actually graduated to stress living. That will not be your portion. Whatever God gives you, you will only dress (nurture) and keep.

As God’s children, whatever we do in life, we should expect to make necessary efforts to make it work so that we can achieve required results. E.g.

– Work, business – Proverb 14:23 – In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

– Studying – Acts 17:10-11 – And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea:who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

– Relationship – Ephesians 4:3 – Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

– Pilgrimage to heaven – Philippians 2:12-13 – Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

However, God has promised us that our lives and living should not be governed by stress.

Matthew 11:28 – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mt. 6:25-34 – Be not anxious of tomorrow.

Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

There are many things that can cause stress. Anxiety, persecution, demonic attack, bad health, poverty, failure, etc are some of them.

Anxiety for example has the power to create its own kind (Job 3:25-26).

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

It can also disintegrate the body (Prov. 17:22). – A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

As anointed as Elijah was, stress broke him down. He has just completed a great assignment for God on Mt Carmel a day before: with physical fire coming down from heaven, returning the heart of the people back to God and killing all the prophets of Baal!

But less than 24 hours after that he was running away from Jezebel who only sent a threatening message to him. That is what stress can do.

May God subtract stress from your life. May stress be far from you.

May your life not be known by an associated stress. For Bartimeaus, it was blindness. Any form of blindness around you is hereby removed. May the elements of favour and grace describe your life.

God can make a life not to go through any stress at all and He can make a way out for any life that might be going through stress.

Solomon was blessed with a life that is devoid of stress. God Himself promised that before Solomon was born that He will not make him to experience stress in life.

1 Chronicles 22:8-9 – But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars:thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about:for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

He ascended the throne after his father with little or no efforts. Despite the wicked plots of Absalom and Adonijah, both elder brothers of Solomon, trying to hijack the throne meant for him, Absalom got himself killed, and Adonijah orchestrated his own death too. Solomon was calm and quiet while God organised his coronation and peaceful reign of 40 years!

During Solomon’s reign, the kingdom was expanded without wars; money was plenty; peace was experienced.

2 Chronicles 1:15 – And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

Someone here, God says you have fought enough. He says, He will be fighting for you from now on. For someone, money will not give you stress again.

For another person, He says your peace will no longer be compromised. Your rest is guaranteed in Jesus name.

In Exodus 1:8-22, the bible says that a new king arose in Egypt that didn’t know Joseph, he then began to put enormous stress on the children of Israel. The bible says the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and spread abroad.

Stress will not rule over you. You will not be overwhelm with stress.

Isaiah 43:1-4 – But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not:for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned;

neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people’s for thy life.

Some years ago. I was under a terrible stress. Just because I had been in the military and was also intelligent, some people thought I was a good candidate for cultism. So I was unknowingly to be initiated to a cult on campus which couldn’t happen. So I was poisoned to die a mysterious death. But God averted it. That was 22 years ago! God took the stress away from my life.

The more pressure you are subjected to, the more stronger you will become in Jesus name. If there is anything or anyone that is making you serve with rigour and making your life seem bitter, may God overturn the table against it or them in Jesus name.

Someone has lie in wait for you to hinder your progress. God will not let them succeed.

The person or people they are hoping to use will disobey them.

God will make the tides to turn in your favour.

God will put confusion in the camps of your adversaries to your advantage.

May God make you to wax mightier than any pressure you face.

Jehoshaphat the king of Judah was a Godly man. He refused to serve Baal and encouraged the worship of Jehovah in his time. At a time in his reign, 3 nations came suddenly to make war with Judah. One nation was big enough to deal with, 3 was suicide. Tension mounted on Jehoshaphat, but he sought God. He proclaimed a fast and asked God to defend them (2 Chro. 20:1- 20).

Are facing any tension regarding your God given possession? Are certain powers trying to chase you out? Is your might so small compared to the host against you? God says, “Fear not!”. You will not be dismayed. The battle is not yours, but The Lord’s.

God will give you the inspiration and power to overcome any pressure rising against you. You shall not need to fight. You will stand still and see the salvation of The Lord.

If there is anything gathering to cause you stress, may God send an ambush against it in Jesus name.

David was a very mighty man of valour. But at a time in his life, he allowed stress to overcame him. In 2 Sam. 6:1-19, the day started for David nicely, but not long afterwards stress, displeasure and fear set in. David couldn’t handle the stress anymore, and the object of the stress (the Ark of God) was pushed to someone else.

Everyone thought Obed-Edom house would be turned upside down with terrible occurrences, but it wasn’t so. His life however was devoid of anticipated stress. He was blessed, his house people were blessed to the extent that people around noticed and informed the king. David had to quickly overcame his fear and brought the Ark to his City.

Between now and three months, the object of your stress would have become history.

Within 90 days, you will receive the solution you desired. It will be noises about that Jehovah has blessed your life, your house and all that pertains to you.

Isaac was such a favoured man. Apart from the escapade with his father on Mt. Moriah, his life was devoid of stress. He lived an easy life. Everything he did, he prospered. For most men, marriage is something stressful, his marriage was stress free. His father’s servant took the stress on his behalf.

Before Abraham’s death, he called all his sons and gave them money, but to Isaac he gave him his covenanted blessings. So that after Abraham’s death, God miraculously blessed Isaac.

Genesis 25:11

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.

A man here. You are fearful about marriage. I hear, “You have delayed enough”.

Another man here, over 30 years. I heard “what are you waiting for”? Your stress is self induced. You should have settled down. Both to see me for advice.

In Gen. 26:1-14, there was famine in the land of Canaan. There was tension everywhere. People were running to Egypt to live there. God however told Isaac to dwell in Gerar. Isaac later sowed in Gerar and in the same year reaped a hundred fold! He became very great and wealthy at a time when people were stressed and burn out.

Famine and drought will not affect you negatively in Jesus name. You will not seek solace in Egypt. Your seeds shall not be burnt or scorched.

Again, based on my upbringing I actually don’t read anything academic to be examined by on Sundays, starting from my primary school till now. It doesn’t matter how tough the exam might be on Monday or if they are many. I can’t just do it. It used to be a concern to my mates in the University, but when the results do come out, mine was always a surprise to them, so they understood.

I pray for you, in life may all your seeds grow. In any given year of your sowing, may you reap a hundred fold increase. May God make you very great. May you be envied by many.

Prayers

1.As The Lord God lives, I will not toil away in life

2. As The Lord God lives, none of my sweat shall be in vain

3. As The Lord God lives, stress will not engulf me

4. Almighty Father, let all my hard work and labours pay off greatly in life

5. Almighty Father, grant me supernatural push beyond all my labours in life

6. Almighty Father, let all the sacrifices I have made in years past begin to yield maximum interest now.
