Happy Mother’s Day to every woman in the house; we love and appreciate our women/mothers. Thanks to God Almighty and to our daddies for making us mothers. What a great privilege to witness another mother’s day celebration in the land of the living. Many did last year, they are no more. May we witness many more IJMN (Amen).
The Lord has considered you worthy to be a woman first, then a mother, worthy to be entrusted with a life. For our mothers in waiting, you will hear the cry of a baby in your home soon. Yours will not be an exception IJN.
Many discount themselves from the great task, saying, it is too tasking, or they cannot be bothered. Motherhood is not a joke, especially in this country.
Bringing up a child, (never mind two, three or four), demands a lot from you and your partner/husband.
I remember my son attending an interview for a retail job when he was 18; he was asked: “What is the most precious thing that has been entrusted to you?” – He said my mum sometimes asks me to look after my sister- she trusts me enough to do that.
They were looking for money related answer, but, you know what? – He got the job because they considered him responsible if his mother could entrust him with her child.
You are Beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made.
No one could be you; there is no two of me, no two of you. You are unique and God is interested in every detail about you.
Mark 7 V32: “And they bring unto him one that was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.”
V33: “And he took him aside from the multitude and put his fingers into his ears, and he spits, and touched his tongue;”
V34. “And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, “Be opened.” And looking up to heaven—ever acknowledging His Father, the author and finisher of our/his faith, even while the healing was seen to flow from Himself
V35: “And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.” We all know that in the real world it takes months if not years of therapy by speech and language therapist to help someone with a speech impediment. This was an instantaneous miracle.
One of the things that have steadied my faith in Christ was – as a new convert He used me to heal a mild illness- a lady with flu, small as it looked, increased my faith a great deal, that the Lord could use me, a new convert.
You are important. What troubles you? What are your limitations, what are your disabilities? Look unto heaven, to the author and finisher of your faith
Someone says: A mother is a small portion of God’s love in action. She looks with her heart & feels with her eyes. A mother is a bank where her children deposit all their worries & hurt. A mother is a cement that keeps her family together & her love lasts a lifetime. You can have everything in life but you only get one mother
You are absolutely wonderful.
The Bible instructs us to Honour our Mothers and Fathers Exodus 20:12
That our days may be long in the land that the Lord our God has given us.
Deuteronomy 5:16.
Proverbs 14:1 14 The wisest of women builds her house, but the folly with her own hands tears it down. May we not with our own hands tear down our homes. May we be builders, not destroyers IJMN. (Amen).
Prayer
Lord make me a profitable mother/ daughter, an extraordinary woman, an award-winning wife/mother, a celebrated mother.
Prayer for our children
My children shall be united – not like Cain and Abel Gen 27:21, Gen21:9 or
Adonijah versus Solomon
My children will blossom: they will bloom, bud, succeed, prosper, germinate, wax strong, develop, grow, multiply, be on top
Every phase of my children’s lives, I cover with the blood of Jesus.
When my mates are harvesting (celebrating their children’s wedding, graduation). I shall not be mourning.
Father, please fight for my children.
