INTRODUCTION
You are born to fly and not to crawl. You are not designed to be a chicken but an EAGLE. So, we want to study about the king of birds called “EAGLE” and what we can learn from it as we aspire to become EAGLE BELIEVERS.
THE MAKING OF AN EAGLE
Eagles are not born, they are made. Eaglets are born but eagles are made. Isa 9:6, Rom 8:14, John 1:12.
Eaglets become eagles through a process of experimental changes and challenges. Lk 2:40, 2 Cor 6:3-10, 4:8-10, Heb 11:31-39, Heb 5:8, Ps 34:19, 2Tim 3:12, Heb 2:10, 5:12-14.
CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EAGLE BELIEVER
- Eagles fly at high altitude up to 10,000 feet and build their nest on high cliffs or tall trees. They are born to fly. They are not turkeys or chickens. Job 39:27-28, Eze 17:3, Eph 1:20-21, Exo 24:12-13, Matt 17:1-3, 2Kgs 1:9-13, Gen 26:2, Matt 14:23, Mk 6:46, Lk 6:12
- Eagles have long distance sight. They can locate a prey 5km away. They have strong visions. Your sight determines your size. You gravitate toward what you see. Job 39:27-29, Prov 29:18, Hab 2:1-4, Ps 119:18, Eph 1:17-19, Prov 22:3.
Have a VISION in life and be focused. Focus on your focus until you become the focus. Prov 4:25 3. Eagles do not feed on dead things. Feed on the living word of God. I Pet 2:2, 39:29-30, Jer 15:16, John 6:63, Gal 1:11-12, Eph 4:14, Ps 103:5, I Cor 15:33, James 1:21
- Eagles are very swift. You can’t be slack and miss lack. Deut 28:49, Job 9:26, I Sam 21:8, Rom 12:11, Eph 5:15-16, John 4:35
- Eagles flock together not with other birds. Your association will determine your acceleration and
your surrounding determines your soaring. The company you belong determines what accompanies you. Prov 13:20, 27:17, I Cor 15:33, Exo 23:2, Eph 5:11, 2Cor 6:14-18
- Enjoys soaring high in turbulent wind. They advance in adversity. Exo 1:12, Prov 24:10, Exo 19:4, Mk 4:38-41, Acts 12:5-6, Ps 66:12
- They attack with their beak. Your word creates your world. Prov 18:21, Num 14:28, Isa 33:24, Joel 3:10, Rev 12:11, Mk 11:22-25, Lk 21:15
- They nurture and train their young to full maturity. Deut 32:11, Prov 22:6
- They renew their strength by pulling off old wings and growing new ones.8 You need a periodic retreat for renewal and vitality. 2Cor 13:5

- They are fearless and calm. 2Tim 1:7, I Jn 4:18, Isa 8:12-13
WINGS TO FLY
The Eagle soars with 2 wings. Every eagle believer that wants to be a highflier needs 2 basic wings: Wing of power and wing of wisdom.
1 Corinthians 1:24 KJV

WING OF POWER
- Feather of prayer. Lk 18:1, I Thess 5:17, Jer 33:3
- Feather of fasting. Matt 17:21

- Feather of obedience. DEUT 28:1-2, John 2:5, Isa 1:19, Job 36:11
- Feather of sensitivity. Rom 8:14, Hab 2:1-4
- Feather of humility. James 4:6, Prov 16:18, 2 Chro 26:15-16
- Feather of purity. Prov 14:34, Isa 54:14, Heb 1:9, Rom 6:1-2
WING OF WISDOM
- Feather of vision. Prov 29:18, Gen 13:14, Jer 1:11-12, Hab 2:1-4.
- Feather of diligence. Prov 22:29, Rom 12:11, Jn 9:4, 5:17, Prov 14:23, Jer 12:5
- Feather of integrity. Prov 14:5, Gal 6:7, Job 1:8, 2:3, Lk 16:11, Matt 5:37, James 5:12, Gen 20:5-6, psalms 26:1, 78:72, Prov 19:1, 20:7
- Feather of knowledge. Hosea 4:6, Isaiah 5:13.
- Feather of courage. Heb 10:35, Josh 1:1-8
- Feather of generosity. Prov 11:24-25
- Feather of discipline. Prov 25:28
THINGS THAT CUT OFF YOUR WINGS
- Rebellion against God. E.g. Satan, Ephraim Hosea 4:17, 5:9
- Sexual immorality. e.g. Samson I Cor 3:16-17, I Thess 4:3-4, Num 25:1-3,
- Evil association (Abinadab to Ammon 2 Sam 13:1-5).
