According to dictionaries, new can be defined as ‘something having been made or come into being only a short time ago; recent; still fresh; never used or worn before; just found, discovered, or learned. It can also be something not previously experienced or encountered; something novel or unfamiliar; something different from the former or the old; something recently obtained or acquired; something additional or a recent arrival’.
The bible makes us know that God is the Ancient of Days; He is also the Eternal God; Everlasting Father; I am that I am; the First and the Last; the Beginning and the End; etc. Such that God was in the past; He is in the present, and He will always be in the future.
The scripture also makes us know that whatever God does is excellent and also endure forever (Gen. 1: 31; Eccl. 3: 14). God however in His own ingenuity always seeks to improve upon the works of His hands. Not because what He did before was badly made; but because He wants to make something more recent. He is the only One that can do that with what He has done before.
By the word of God, we know that this present world is actually a new one from a former one (II Peter 3: 3-6). The same word of God tells us that this present and novel world of ours will later be replaced by even a newer one by God (II Peter 3: 7-14). So, God is always in the business of making something new time after time (John 5: 16-17).
In the year 2021, the promise of God for us is that He will make all things new. God will visit every fabric of our lives and our assembly, and bring newness into them all.
In the year 2021, we will be granted the following by God to enjoy:
New beginnings;
New opportunities;
New privileges;
New favours;
New heights;
New grounds and new territories;
New acquaintances and new relationships;
New accolades and novel achievements;
New lease of health;
New lasting victories;
New promotion and elevations;
New recognitions for new innovations and ideas;
New injection of strength and zeal;
New ventures and knowledge acquisitions; etc.
The year 2021 will be such that individual lives, family lives, and the whole assembly as a whole will be able to testify that all things were made new to us by God by the end of the year in Jesus name.
