The prophecy for us throughout RCCG this year is that God will do signs and wonders in our lives. This message is to challenge our God to wrought such wonders in our lives here in EFA as we longed for them greatly.

The Bible is full of signs, wonders and miracles.

Biblical signs are Divinely revealed indicators or visible things that give understanding to a mystery or confirmation to a prophecy.

Rainbow for not destroying the world again with water. Gen. 9:9-17

I will water thy carmel also – Abraham servant. Gen. 24:14

Show me thy glory – for God presence and rest with Moses.

Swaddling clothes, lying in a manger – for the birth of Messaih.

Except I see the print of the nails – Thomas for Christ resurrection.

Are you waiting on God for explanation concerning a mystery? Are you trusting God for confirmation to a promise or prophesy? May God give you a sign in Jesus name.

Wonders are things that arouses awe, astonishment, surprise or amazement.

The birth of Isaac was a wonder.

The sacrificial lamb for Isaac on Mount Moriah was a wonder.

10 plaques in Egypt were wonders.

The gift of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost was a wonder.

In this year 2013, may God surprise and amaze you for good in Jesus name.

Miracles are certain effects or extraordinary events in the physical world that surpasses all human or natural laws and so are considered to be Divine.

Parting of Red Sea.

Parting of Jordan River.

The birth of Jesus.

Jesus walking on water.

Raising Lazarus from the dead.

Any aspect of your life that require a miracle, may God effect it today in Jesus name.

I therefore see a progression from signs to wonders and then to miracles. May your life not lack any of them in Jesus name.

Gideon is a man that asked God the question, “Where be all His miracles?” the children of Isreal sinned against God, and they were handed over to the Midianites for 7 years to punish. At the end of the 7 years, they repented and God sent a prophet to them to remind them of His promises and their duties.

I stand as the prophet of God before you today, to admonish you to cry unto God for mercy and He will put an end to any oppression in your life in Jesus name.

Does this seem like your statement to God?

Judges 6:13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Is anyone saying where is the evidence that God is with me?

Or could it be that you are saying, ‘where are His acts if He is with us?’

God said He was with Gideon, yet he was hiding from his enemies. His crops and livestock were been carted away by the enemy.

No wonder he was asking the ‘man’ for proof of God’s abiding with them.

Gideon was given the sign of Elijah. Fire came from nowhere and consume his offering.

May God demonstrate His presence with you evidentially in Jesus name.

Mark 16:17-18

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

If we should take God by His word literally, which we ought, then the question is, ‘Where are these signs Lord’? Have we not believe enough? If God be with us, where are these signs? Why should the devil still oppress some of us? Where are the new tongues? Why should His people be hurt when they drink deadly something? Or why should we lay hands on some sick folks and yet not recovered? Where be all the miracles?

Thank God, Gideon began to experience miracles. His meal was received by fire! His fleece was wet but the ground was dry. Then the fleece was dry and the ground wet. He was later to overcome the Midianites with just 300 unarmed men!

You will begin to experience the miracles of God in Jesus name.

Factors necessary for signs and wonders

Repentance – Gideon destroy the altar of Baal in their compound and raised another altar unto God (Judges 6:25-27).

Peter told the people at Jerusalem to repent and be baptised to receive the wonder of speaking in tougues (Acts 2: 38)

What altar do you need to destroy for that of God to be raised in your life?

Believing the word of God – Gideon believed that the miraculous stories passed down to him by their ancestors were actually life occurrences.

Judges 6:13b and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?

Noah built the Ark because he believed.

Moses stretch forth his rod to the Red Sea because he believed

Joshua march round Jericho because he believed.

Do you believe the biblical miracles? Do you believe the testimonies you hear?

Offering – Gideon gave an offering (kid, cake & soup) in verse 19 and made a sacrifice of a 7 year old bullock in verse 25-27.

We offer 7 years old Everlasting Father’s Assembly to the Almighty God and may wonders happened with us in Jesus name.

What can you give as offering to God? What is that sacrifice that God has require of you? Have you redeemed it?

Let go of your preconceived ideas – Gideon thought the more soldiers you take to war, the greater your tendency of winning. – Operation Desertstorm 1990.

But God proved him wrong. 300 people were used to subdue the Midianites, Amalekites and children from the east. What was needed was for the Spirit of the Lord to be upon him (Judges 6:33-34).

The Spirit of God upon David made the difference among all men that faced Goliath.

The Spirit of God upon Jephtar made the difference to face the Ammonites.

The Spirit of God upon Samson made the difference to face the Philistines.

May your life be consecrated unto God and may His Spirit come upon you in Jesus name.
